A new handset from 3 has been unveiled that makes full use of the internet to offer cheaper calls.
The network has unveiled its latest Skypephone - named the S2 - and has released a list of the phone's capabilities and specifications, which could also be of interest to 3 mobile broadband customers.
Pocket-lint reports that the S2 will be fully HSDPA compatible and houses a 3.2-megapixel camera, 2.2 QVGA resolution display and adds 4GB MicroSD support to its existing 50MB of internal memory.
"In addition, the phone has built-in modem drivers so you can use your 3 Skypephone S2 like a dongle," the article states, adding that it is expected to be available from August 18th.
The S2 will be Windows PC or Apple Mac compatible and measures 103 x 45 x 14mm.
Also this week the site reported that 3 customers would soon get exclusive access to a white version of Nokia's E71.
