Orange is the latest provider of mobile broadband services to begin giving away free laptops with its packages, it has emerged.
Gizmodo reports that the network will offer users who subscribe to Orange mobile broadband a free laptop and will get to choose between models from Asus and Hewlett Packard (HP).
For Orange's £25 monthly contract, users will be able to get the latest Asus Eee PC 900 with a 16GB hard drive and for the HP notebooks - reportedly the 6370s and 6730b models the contracts are expected to be more business focussed at £35 and £45 per month.
Devices director at Orange UK, Francois Mahieu, told PC Retail the network was happy to offer the laptops to its new customers and hoped more such offers were in the pipeline.
"Over time, we will be looking to expand our offering even further with more suppliers who are at the forefront of laptop technology, making it even easier for our customers to connect to the internet seamlessly," he said.
The Carphonewarehouse and Phones4U are two high street retailers that also have offers in place for free laptops on mobile broadband packages.
