Samsung has renamed a new addition to its range of camera-focussed mobile phones, according to reports.
PhoneArena states this week that the Primera i8510, which has also gone under the model name of the i8510, has been renamed by the South Korean manufacturer as the INNOV8 and could be available in the UK next month.
The handset is set to be one of the first eight-megapixel models from the company that will be made available across Europe and could beat Sony Ericsson's similarly equipped C905.
"Camera features include dual-LED flash, face recognition, smile shot and blink shot," the article notes, adding that VGA video recording is also available at a speed of 30fps.
The INNOV8 will use the Symbian v9.3 operating system and the latest version of the S60 interface and will aim to be "an all-in-one multimedia device" with DivX support, 3D surround sound and 16GB of memory.
Samsung recently unveiled the i8510 at an event in New York.
