If the latest rumours are to be believed, the Apple iPhone could be about to get another makeover.

Following the launch of the second generation iPhone 3G this summer, speculation is already rife that the manufacturer will add to its range with a new version of the handset with a 32GB memory.

Apple Insider notes that stocks of technology needed for the 8GB iPhone, which is now available as a pay as you go option, are low - and as such a move to a higher specification model could prove beneficial to Apple.

Pocket Lint has also reported that the launch of an updated iPhone 3G with more memory could happen as soon as January, in line with the company's MacWorld event the same month.

"Other rumours suggest that the 32GB model could have a whooping £500 price tag so we'd hope there'd be more new features than just the added memory," it states, adding that one such feature could be a 3.2-megapixel camera.
